Pastor Bujingo Expresses Feeling For Former Gospel Singer Julie Mutesasira's Acceptance Of The LGBTQ+ Lifestyle.

·         Pastor Julie Birungi Mutesasira, a former gospel singer and pastor, chose to live as a lesbian in Canada, which deeply troubled Pastor Aloysious Bujingo, the lead pastor of House of Prayer Ministries, in a recent Easter Day sermon.
Mutesasira's alleged loss of her faith in Jesus Christ was denounced by Pastor Bujingo.
In 2020, Julie Mutesasira gained notoriety after stunning public opinion with images of her wedding to another woman that appeared online.

·         After coming out as a lesbian in 2016 and relocating to Canada, Mutesasira's story has generated a lot of attention as well as debate.
The former gospel singer celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary with her companion Jean in 2022 by sharing pictures and a note of love and appreciation. The couple had previously been married to Pastor Steven Mutesasira before divorcing.

·         However, both acquaintances and religious authorities have criticized this event.
Known for voicing strong opinions, Pastor Bujingo grieved over Mutesasira's alleged abandonment from her Christian religion in a heartfelt lecture during his Easter sermon. He said, "We have seen many of those who were singing for Jesus, like Julie Mutesasira, have abandoned Jesus Christ in order to obtain Canadian citizenship." "A child should not be held accountable for the transgressions of their parents. Until Julie gets up and returns to Jesus Christ, but it seems that her journey to become a lesbian has been put on hold since she fled Uganda, a nation that forbids homosexuality. All of this is meant to serve as a reminder to never forget your origins.

·         In addition to being a well-known young Ugandan singing duo known as "Esther and Ezekiel," who won praise for their performances in talent competitions like Canada's Got Talent and East Africa's Got Talent, Julie Mutesasira was also a Presbyterian and a former gospel singer.
Comments on Mutesasira's life decisions bring to light the continuous discussion in Uganda and elsewhere about LGBTQ+ rights and religious convictions.
