A covert scheme by ardent fans of the NUP's fiery leader, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, to organize a large march this Thursday to celebrate his return to Uganda has just been thwarted by Joint Security Agencies.
As a result of their excitement for Bobi Wine's dramatic entry at the Entebbe International Airport, insider sources have revealed to the police and other security authorities that mobilizers had gone as far as paying individuals cash to rent posh resorts in Entebbe.
They intended to march erratically through Kitoro, Katabi, Kitala, Kajjansi, Lubowa, the city's financial sector, Kalerwe, and Kasangati beginning at the airport.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango, this illegal activity will cause complete traffic mayhem, interrupt businesses, and even attract criminal elements. According to him, uninvolved parties like drivers, passengers, and companies could have been hit by collateral damage.
The general public and the boda boda riders who accepted hush money for this gig have been cautioned by Onyango to stay at home and enjoy that money instead or run the risk of being handcuffed by security personnel.
