Muwanga Bashir aka Bashrat studied his Primary level at Lwengo Primary and Secondary at London High School Kabowa. 

While at London High School, in early 2013, Muwanga Bashir took his first step into the music industry as a music writer and then branded himself as Bashrat.

As a writer, he has wrote a number of songs for various musicians. 

In early 2014, Bashrat started doing backups in Okteev Studios Africa and in late 2014, he started his career as a recording artist under Okteev Studios Africa.

In mid2015, he was spotted and signed as a promising, talented musician by Manager Yasin of Real Art Music
