Amani Amaniga

Byaruhanga Asuman Amani who performs as Amani Amaniggar was born in Kabale district, Uganda, on December 25,1991. Amani started as a karaoke singer in 2004. In 2010 at the age 21 he recorded and released his first single "Omukiga womuniga" that went viral and drew a lot of interest in his native Kigezi region and beyond.

Since then, he never looked back and has released many other songs like,"Ne Must", "Kemerwa", "Oraba Orandabaho", "Kyahwire", "Guma" and many more which have earned him different awards both at home and nationally and also won him a respectable fan base that keeps growing by the day..

AWARDS

1.Artist of the year 2014,2015 -KIMMA(Kigezi music and Media awards).
2.Best western organised innovative artist of the year-2016.
3.Best western rapper of the year 2016-UGHIPHOP awards.

Amani has performed on different events like the Annual Radio west Ekinihiro and Rukundo Egumeho Cultural Festival 2nd edition, Kampala 2016.
In January 2017, Eddie Rush one of Uganda's seasoned artistes and entrepreneur, took the young artiste under his wing becoming his Mentor in both Music and business.
On the 10th of April, Amani released his latest single "Zagwa" under Rush's independent record label, Big beats entertainment.

STYLE AND PROPHECY

Referred to Passionately by fans as "Kiga flow most wanted", Amani is known for his Kiga-intricate rhyme patterns, metaphors and wordplay. Amani's philosophy is "Culture first". He derives inspiration when writing his music from everyday people and their real life experiences.
"To me, its about my culture and the people I make music for.If I can touch the common person with my lyrics then the rest will just fall in." He says.
